Founded in 2009 with the aim of carrying out and supporting projects that promote the city and the culture of coexistence for the individual in particular and society in general, the City of Culture Foundation has produced many projects on subjects such as culture, art, education, software and, as a non-profit organisation, it has presented all the projects it has produced for social benefit, especially to public institutions.
Since the day of our foundation;
Beyoğlu95, Conscious Family Healthy Generations, Meetings on the Bridge, Masterpiece Beyoğlu, Beyoğlu Open Air Cinema Festival, Democracy Generation, Living Together with the Different, Creative Istanbul Workshops, Brand Cities Graduate Programme Projects as well as Cinema’s 10’s, A Life on Stage Award Ceremonies, Beyoğlu Antique Festival, Beyoğlu Sahaf Festival, Intercultural Art Dialogues, Donizetti Classical Music Awards, Itri Turkish Music Awards, II. Beyazıt Symposium, International Roma Symposium and many other important events in cooperation with the public and civil society.
Our Foundation, which contributes to the integrated development and cultural development of the city in almost every field from culture to education, from art to production, from master to artist, from children to family, has brought another successful example of solidarity and sharing to our society in 2019.
Our Foundation has inaugurated the IDA University Student Residence, which will allow our children to discover our tangible and intangible cultural heritage, which is our source of inspiration for the strong construction of our future, far beyond providing a peaceful home, shelter and food throughout their university life.
